CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

1. Registration by telephone is not possible.

2. Registration without a test/interview is not possible (except for complete beginners in Dutch).

3. Payment at registration: students can pay cash or PIN. Places cannot be reserved without payment.

4. If you follow two or more courses, starting at the same time, a discount will apply.
The discounts apply for one student taking more than one course.

5. If the course fee is to be paid by your company the Centre for British English can send an
invoice directly to the company provided the company is registered with the 'Kamer van Koophandel', showing the K.v.K. number, the correct address details and the name of the contact person to whom the invoice should be sent to. If you do not have written permission you will have to pay first and have it reimbursed by your company later. A new letter is required for every new course.

6. Cancellation: After registration & signing of the form a place has been reserved for you.
Cancellation is not possible, even if you do not attend the lessons. This also applies to
participants residing in The Netherlands temporarily.

7. Postponement of courses: it is not possible to transfer a course to the next semester
unless discussed with the Director of Studies whereby a transfer may be permitted.

8. After the courses have started: Cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances or illness
(an official medical certificate from a Dutch physician must be provided only written requests will be taken into consideration) should be discussed with the Director of Studies and, if permitted, fees will be refunded. When a refund has been granted for this reason an administration fee of €50 plus the cost of the books (where applicable) will be
retained/charged.

9. The Centre for British English reserves the right to cancel any course if there is insufficient demand or to combine courses where necessary. We endeavour to offer an alternative in the case of cancellation if there are places available on other courses (at a suitable level).

10. The Centre for British English reserves the right to refuse admission to our courses or
terminate the courses of students who, in its opinion, cause disruption to the class and
thus impair the learning of the other members of the course.

11. Transfer between classes is only possible within the first two weeks of the course,
providing there are places available in the group that the student would like to move to.
The teachers must be in agreement with the move.
Requests for changes must be submitted in writing using the appropriate form which the
teacher will provide and sign before passing it on to the CBE admin.
The teacher will then inform the student whether the move can go ahead or not. The courses must take place in the same semester.
It is not possible to transfer from a regular course to private teaching for any reason.

12. Queries to do with administration/registration must be submitted by email or letter to the Centre for British English desk and not to the teacher.

13. The language courses organised by the Centre for British English are suitable for
students who are literate in the Roman alphabet and can read and write.

14. The Centre for British English reserves the right to take photographs or film students
taking part in language courses at the CBE and to use them for promotional purposes.
Students should make their objections to this known before the course begins.

15. The Centre for British English is not able to assist in arranging visas.

16. We regret that children and babies are not permitted in the lessons, and animals (with the exception of guidedogs) may not be brought into the Centre without prior arrangement.
